Retail Divisions

Retail divisions are created and maintained in Retail > Retail items > Retail division

Retail divisions are the top level of the item hierarchy. They are used to group the departments and reports can be generated for this level of the hierarchy. It is not mandatory to use this level.

The Retail Divisions View:

The screen is split into two sections:

• The list of retail divisions;
• The retail departments within the selected division.

Create new retail division

To create a new retail division press the button below the list of retail division, this is the upper list.

When a new retail division is created the following dialog opens:

• Description allows a maximum of 60 characters.
• Every retail division receives an ID, a number that is automatically given to the retail division from a number series.

Add retail department to the division

To add a retail department to the retail division:

1. select the retail division from the upper t to add the retail department to.
2. press the button below the list of the retail departments, the lower list.
3. in the Department search dialog find the retail department to add and select it.
4. press the select button to add the selected retail department.
